Woodland Adventures
We are situated within a 10 minute walk from Milford Common and we regularly take groups of children out to explore the woodland and surrounding area.
However, our Woodland Adventures are more than just a nature walk! They are full of challenges such as: how can we reach the top of a steep muddy hill and then find a way down? If a fallen branch is too heavy how can we work together to move it? Our Woodland Adventures are full of opportunities incorporating a range of EYFS learning areas whether it be creative, maths, literacy- the possibilities are endless! Some of our activities include storytelling, den building, and hill climbing whilst encouraging them to investigate the natural surroundings for themselves.
Outdoor Learning
In addition to our Woodland Adventures we take the children out into the community such as to the local park, Mousehill Green to play games, St John’s Church, Guinea Pig visits to the Vets or Secretts farm shop to buy fruit and vegetables or go strawberry picking. We also visit the residents of Dower House to sing songs and talk about our adventures.
